Aunt Sophie is the maternal aunt to the Barker children and the wife of Uncle Brian, played by Barbara Durkin. Her and Brian meet the alien Brian and Sophie in the waiting room of the Children's Home after they went there to adopt Josh, Lucy and Mel. Brian and Sophie discover that alien Brian and Sophie are aliens after alien Brians licks them and acts like a dog. In order to stop Sophie and Brian blowing their cover alien Brian and Sophie lock them in their attic and take on their identities.

- Barbara Durkin played the original Sophie Johnson in the first and second series of My Parents Are Aliens.
- Pete Walker comments that Aunt Sophie "Looks familiar" referencing the fact that actress Barbara Durkin played the role of Sophie in Series 1 and 2.
